Scars Fade
Aurora‘s nightmare is over.
Erik is safely behind bars awaiting trial, and her last cut was over six months ago. Liam returns to his military service after Aurora and her perfect son, Gavin, are out of the hospital.
Suddenly, all communication with Liam stops. No emails. No phone calls. No one has heard from him in weeks. Fearing the worst, she struggles to avoid turning to her razor blade before she gets the phone call she had been dreading.
Liam had been in an accident.
An explosion had left him badly burned and possibly paralyzed, but he was alive and was transferred to a hospital closer to home.
In the hospital, Liam meets Gabe, another soldier who was injured in the line of duty, and they become friends almost instantly.
When Liam is eventually released from the hospital, he has nowhere to go. He can’t return to living on his own, and his parents won’t even speak to him, so Aurora moves him in with her and her son. Together, they face Erik’s trial and Rory’s divorce, which makes Aurora realize she couldn’t have faced Erik without Liam by her side.
Liam, already in love with Aurora, quickly falls in love with her son as well, and he wants to adopt the child.
Join Rory and Liam as their relationship blossoms. Will Aurora agree to the adoption? Will Liam get back on his feet? Does Erik even have a say in losing his wife and child?
