A Small Update
Honestly, life has been so busy these last few months, posting updates on here has been the last thing on my mind. I have one child that moved schools this year. Another child is making the jump to virtual school next week. Another is a senior in high school. To say that life has been challenging would be an understatement. Don’t worry, I HAVE BEEN WRITING! I just haven’t been writing updates on my writing. Off the Ropes is almost complete with the first draft. I am hoping to have it finished BEFORE the holidays, so I can edit in January. Of course, my life becomes even more hectic during…

An Interesting Weekend
So, once again, I spent Labor Day weekend in Hoffman Estates, Illinois for live wrestling. Unlike last year, we also attended the Wednesday Dynamite and the Friday Rampage in addition to the All Out PPV, Fan Fest, and Heels Meet up. And we got to bring a friend who had NEVER been to a live wrestling event. The weekend was nothing short of incredible. Sure, there were matches I didn’t like the outcome of, but that is to be expected. What I didn’t expect was all the back stage drama to erupt as soon as the PPV was over. It would be easy to let that drama overshadow the amazing…

On the Mats
Charlotte and Landon literally could not be more different. Charlotte never fit in at school, while Landon was the most popular guy in the entire city, thanks to his promising future professional baseball career. And his good looks. Perfect girlfriend. Rich family. The one thing Charlotte had that Landon didn’t have was true friends. Quinn was Charlotte’s best friend, Landon’s younger sibling, and Landon’s evil girlfriend’s favorite target. After yet another fight with his girlfriend, Landon blows off his plans to spend time with Charlotte and Quinn on a night that will change his life forever. A professional wrestling event. Landon was an amazing amateur wrestler in high school, but…

#LivingMyBestLife
If you have been following my Twitter page, you have probably seen a series of posts over the last several weeks with the tag #LivingMyBestLife. It started early this month, as I posted pictures of a concert I attended. A small bar with an amazing band was just what I needed after working my ass off in the tax office over the last several months, so when I found out Aranda would be in the next town over, I jumped at the opportunity. The concert was amazing, but even better was that I got to meet Gabe and Dameon Aranda! The very next day, my husband and I took our…

Writing Update
I wanted to have the first draft of On the Mats done by now, but I keep changing the ending. I have an idea for the next book that keeps trying to grab my attention. And my day job is killing me. I have fourteen days until the end of tax season, and there will not be a day off in those last fourteen days. There will be two upper leadership visits in those fourteen days. Then the closing down of five of my six offices, and getting the sixth ready to be the only office in its area that will be open for the summer. I also have a…

#ProtectTransKids
Honestly, protect ALL our kids, but the trans kids are the ones that really need support right now. This year, all sorts of new bills for anti-LGBT legislation are flying around. One state literally made it child abuse to support your transgender child. How is this okay? Personally, I believe that’s a bit backwards. It should be child abuse to NOT support your transgender child. Another state banned all trans women from competing in sports. Another one yet has banned all education on LGBT issues in schools. How is this okay? My son goes to a smaller school, but his counselors and advisors believe there is probably at least 15%…

AEW Revolution Predictions
So a friend of ours has been doing video predictions for Dynamite for quite a while now. I decided to start doing the same for big shows. And what is bigger than a PPV? SO let’s get to it. 1. Hook vs. QT Marshall. Hook wins it because, well, he’s Hook. Not to mention QT has been known for getting his ass kicked super quick in PPV matches. 2. Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. I’m not 100% sure that there won’t be any surprise entries in this, as there usually are. However, of the ones that are announced, I’m going with Wardlow, unless Spears makes an appearance to ruin…

The Future…
A couple of days ago, my husband and I sat down and had a conversation. I have stated many times that I fully intend to leave this area as soon as the kids are old enough to be out on their own. I think he may have thought I was joking, but I definitely am not. I want to travel. I want to buy an RV and just hit the road. We can get odd jobs in towns we like, but then we can pick up and leave whenever as well. I can write anywhere. I can get a job at basically any tax office in the country. Once the…

Meet the Characters: Ethan
Ethan technically makes his first appearance in Time Heals, when Gabe learns he has a child with Rachel. Other than playing hockey and being friends with Gavin at an early age, he doesn’t really make an impact until Out on the Ice. He is the goalie of Gavin’s championship hockey team. Gavin is his best friend, and they are literally closer than brothers. Ethan is even the one responsible for setting Gavin up with his first girlfriend (before Cam comes out, of course). Ethan’s father is severely homophobic, so Ethan was brought up thinking it was wrong. When Jace and Gavin get together, Ethan is horrible to them. Eventually, he…

A Whole New World
It seems like all of my books happen in trilogies. Self Inflicted, Scars Fade, Time Heals. Out on the Ice. One of the Guys. Dying to Fit In. Each time I finish one, I struggle to leave the characters behind and start something new. I almost always find a way to tie in old characters to new stories. All of my books have been connected. Until now. I don’t have even a working title for this new book, but none of my old characters are part of it, at least at this time. However, I do already have a story building for book two in the trilogy. This time I…
