All Elite Fan Girl

It’s no secret that I am a wrestling fan.

I have been since I was a teenager. However, over the years, the one major company that was around just seemed to be doing the same thing over and over again. I stopped watching. I would watch Wrestlemania every year, but other than that, I had better things to do with my time.

AEW changed that.

Seriously, unless I am physically at an event, I am religiously in front of my TV every Wednesday for Dynamite. I may occasionally miss Rampage on Fridays, but I will always catch a replay. Dark and Dark Elevation get watched if I have time. Then there’s still BTE and Sammy’s vlog…

I’ve been to three live shows so far this year. Purchased a meet and greet at two of the shows, and the other one, I was lucky enough to have a free hangout with several of the female talent as well as some awesome female fans, as well as a complete Fan Fest! Now I have been to shows for the other company as well and had some good seats for some, but the entire experience just doesn’t compare.

I could easily talk about wrestling all day. And some days I probably do. We may have hit obsession level. As I sit here typing this, I look to my right, where we have our “AEW Wall.” Autographed photos from over a dozen talented wrestlers. About two dozen action figures. A flag that is autographed by several wrestlers. A title belt. A ring. A digital photo frame with many of my pictures from our live events. A couple of books written by wrestlers. I look in front of me and see a stack of DVDs of every PPV the company has had (with the exception of this month’s PPV, which isn’t out on DVD yet). Hidden in a closet are several t-shirts that will be Christmas presents. Pins and patches for a vest that will be my husband’s present. I couldn’t even begin to estimate the amount of money spent at this company in this year alone.

However, what this company has done is priceless.

My husband and I were struggling with finding common interests. AEW changed that. My twelve-year-old son has been watching it with us religiously for about a year and a half now. As an almost teenage boy, he doesn’t get excited about much, but the look on his face at fan fest when he found out he was going to meet his favorite wrestler was absolutely priceless.
