    Longest Week Ever

January is always a hard time for me. Getting used to being back in the office all the time. Having to literally schedule every second of my day if I want to get anything done. No free time. No wrestling shows. I hate January. But this year was already insane. By Tuesday, the week already felt like it had drug on forever. Then I had to take my oldest son back to the airport, which was hard enough. I made the hour-and-a-half drive. Said goodbye. Turned around and went straight to an office. Not really because I needed to, but because I needed to stay busy. Shipping my kid off…

    New Blog Idea?

One of my hobbies when I am not working, writing, crafting, or managing the kids, is playing Dungeons and Dragons. The husband and I have a great group of people that come over, and we lock ourselves away from the world for hours at a time. While I was taking notes on our newest campaign yesterday, I thought it would make a nice little story to post here. First of all, it will be in a place where my entire group can look back on what we did on a particular day. Also, I have been wanting to get back to fantasy writing, but I can’t until I finish Beneath…

    The End of An Era?

I’m not like most people that look forward to a new year. I seem to always be focused on the negative. The END of the year. What other things are coming to an end? When I first started seriously writing, it was a way to cope with losing my grandmother. A few weeks ago, during an argument, my husband brought up the fact that he thought I just wanted to complete one book and move on with my life. That was 5 years ago? Six? I don’t even remember. Sometimes I feel like it is a waste of time. Is this really going anywhere? Am I even good enough to…

    A Small Update

Honestly, life has been so busy these last few months, posting updates on here has been the last thing on my mind. I have one child that moved schools this year. Another child is making the jump to virtual school next week. Another is a senior in high school. To say that life has been challenging would be an understatement. Don’t worry, I HAVE BEEN WRITING! I just haven’t been writing updates on my writing. Off the Ropes is almost complete with the first draft. I am hoping to have it finished BEFORE the holidays, so I can edit in January. Of course, my life becomes even more hectic during…

    An Interesting Weekend

So, once again, I spent Labor Day weekend in Hoffman Estates, Illinois for live wrestling. Unlike last year, we also attended the Wednesday Dynamite and the Friday Rampage in addition to the All Out PPV, Fan Fest, and Heels Meet up. And we got to bring a friend who had NEVER been to a live wrestling event. The weekend was nothing short of incredible. Sure, there were matches I didn’t like the outcome of, but that is to be expected. What I didn’t expect was all the back stage drama to erupt as soon as the PPV was over. It would be easy to let that drama overshadow the amazing…

    #ProtectTransKids

Honestly, protect ALL our kids, but the trans kids are the ones that really need support right now. This year, all sorts of new bills for anti-LGBT legislation are flying around. One state literally made it child abuse to support your transgender child. How is this okay? Personally, I believe that’s a bit backwards. It should be child abuse to NOT support your transgender child. Another state banned all trans women from competing in sports. Another one yet has banned all education on LGBT issues in schools. How is this okay? My son goes to a smaller school, but his counselors and advisors believe there is probably at least 15%…

    The Future…

A couple of days ago, my husband and I sat down and had a conversation. I have stated many times that I fully intend to leave this area as soon as the kids are old enough to be out on their own. I think he may have thought I was joking, but I definitely am not. I want to travel. I want to buy an RV and just hit the road. We can get odd jobs in towns we like, but then we can pick up and leave whenever as well. I can write anywhere. I can get a job at basically any tax office in the country. Once the…

    Live Your Best Life

Seriously, if you are not out there living your best live, what are you even doing? 2020 sucked. Nothing we can do about it. It’s over. It’s been over. Time to put the year to rest and move on. 2021 was amazing. After being stuck at home for a year, my husband and I had a lot of time to make up for. A friend of ours was part of a new band, and thankfully we were able to see them play live twice last year (and already once this year). A wrestling show we were supposed to see in April of 2020 FINALLY happened in August 2021. Then we…

Can We Just Not Be D-Bags?

Guess what guys? This post is about wrestling. But also, it’s not about wrestling. Why is it so difficult for some people to be decent human beings? Back story. One of my favorite wrestlers (Sammy Guevarra with AEW) recently posted on Twitter that he and his fiance separated. He didn’t have to tell us anything, but since he literally proposed to her on live TV not too long ago, and she had several appearances in his weekly vlog, they decided it was time to let the fans know. Of course, people lost their shit. Immediately, the internet started blaming a bad-ass female wrestler (Tay Conti) because she was a regular…

    Boredom, Day 5?

So, last week sometime. Thursday maybe? I’m not even sure anymore. But my dear old husband was diagnosed with Covid. We had managed to keep it away for nearly two years. Until last week. I’m vaccinated. I have no symptoms. I have had a negative test. I’m not sick. 100% not sick. Also not required to quarantine. The kids are not. They are ALL home from school until January. Husband is obviously home, although he is banished to the bedroom while I am taking over the living room. I am going crazy! Like, I can leave the house, but I still am going crazy! The kids have lost their minds!…
