Live Your Best Life
Seriously, if you are not out there living your best live, what are you even doing?
2020 sucked. Nothing we can do about it. It’s over. It’s been over. Time to put the year to rest and move on.
2021 was amazing. After being stuck at home for a year, my husband and I had a lot of time to make up for. A friend of ours was part of a new band, and thankfully we were able to see them play live twice last year (and already once this year). A wrestling show we were supposed to see in April of 2020 FINALLY happened in August 2021. Then we went to a wrestling PPV in September. Followed by another wrestling show in November.
Looking back, I’m not even really complaining about 2020. We had an amazing wrestling company that kept up with weekly shows. My son started watching with us. We even took him to his first show in 2021!
Staying home in 2020 helped bring a lot of clarity. I learned who my real friends are. And I made some more. The couple we met at our wrestling show in August (and again in September), my husband and I refer to as the “other us’s”. Even though we barely know each other, we have a LOT in common (and finding out more each day). Even though we live several hours apart, we sit in a group chat and watch wrestling together at least weekly.
So before you start complaining about things, stop to look at the big picture. Was I upset that everything was canceled in 2020? Of course! But if it weren’t pushed off, would we have met the awesome people that we did? Would my son turn off his video games and watch a show with me every week?
Everything happens for a reason.
